DISCOUNT FROM LIST PRICES:  2% from the accepted pricelist.  For calculation of the GSA Schedule price (price paid by customers ordering from the GSA Schedule, and the price to be loaded in to GSA Advantage), the contractor should deduct the appropriate basic discount from the list price and add the prevailing IFF rate to the negotiated discounted price (Net GSA price).  Current IFF rate is 0.75%.

LABOR CATEGORY DESCRIPTIONS

Scientist

Education Requirement: Graduate degree including Ph.D, MD, DDS, DVM or equivalent.
Experience Requirement:  A minimum of 2 years experience.
Functional Responsibility: Conducts experiments in a diversity of biological areas.  Collects, interprets and analyzes scientific findings, and reports scientific findings. Performs laboratory procedures using established methods and techniques, conducts experiments, some moderately complex. Conducts and interprets routine data. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within the lab.  Relies on scientific protocols to perform the functions of the job.  Communicates results to the scientific community via published papers or oral presentation of data, may be responsible for teaching or supervising technologists or students.  Must be able to work with a multidisciplinary team.

 

Laboratory Technologist

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience Requirement:  A minimum of 3 years of experience or a Master’s Degree in a scientific area of study may serve as substitute.
Functional Responsibility: Performs a wide variety of research laboratory tasks and experiments, makes detailed observations, analyzes data, and interprets results. Maintains laboratory equipment and inventory levels for laboratory supplies. Writes reports, summaries, and protocols regarding experimental results. Performs complex chemical, biological, immunologic, microscopic and or bacteriological tests.  Microscopically evaluates blood and body fluid.  Has the capacity to culture tissue and body fluids to look for the presence of bacteria, fungi, or other microorganisms.  Analyzes samples for chemical content or chemical reactions. Performs lab procedures and is familiar with standard lab tech regulations, practices and procedures. Practices safe and ethical care of animals, evaluate results, develops and modifies procedures, and establishes and monitors programs to ensure the accuracy of tests.

 

Data Manager

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree or Nursing Degree in health sciences
Experience Requirement:  A minimum of 2 years of experience.
Functional Responsibility: Has knowledge of ICH-GCP and a strong interest in clinical research, as well as has an affinity with working with databases. Possesses professional use of the English language; both written and verbal.  Tracks and commits the data gathered from clinical studies into a database. Ensures the completeness, accuracy and consistency of the data so that it meets the standards of quality required by regulatory bodies. Key members of the multidisciplinary teams involved in the setting up, running and reporting of clinical trials. Manages clinical trials through review, computerization, cleaning and auditing of clinical data and data bases in compliance with standard operating procedures, client guidelines and regulatory agency guidelines.

 

Scientific Writer

Education Requirement:  Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific field.
Experience Requirement:  A minimum of 4 years of experience.
Functional Responsibility:  Synthesizes and communicates scientific and technical data. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Internet Explorer.  Interprets and organizes written information and solves problems relating to conflicting citations, credentials and medical terminology. Has strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail and organization. Prioritizes and possess excellent communication skills, an assertive personality, and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced and, at times, noisy environment.

 

Senior Researcher

Education Requirement:  Master’s or Ph.D. in field of specialty
Experience Requirement:  A minimum of 5 years of experience. 
Functional Responsibility:  Supervises researchers in daily operations as well as conducts research in diverse biological areas and against a variety of targets. Is familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Supervises and works alongside researchers in daily operations as well as conducting research in diverse biological areas and against a variety of targets. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision.

 

Clinical Research Coordinator

Education Requirement:  Bachelor’s Degree or Nursing Degree in science.
Experience Requirement:   A minimum of 3 years of experience. 
Functional Responsibility:  Screens, enrolls and manages patients on clinical trials. Adheres to protocol guidelines and objectives. Analyzes and evaluates clinical data. Understands and adheres to GCP and FDA guidelines. May have supervisory responsibility for other study team members.
